Kamel Ride is a social app and carpooling platform built specifically for the college community. We connect passengers with drivers for long-haul trips across the Northeast, offering students a cheaper, more flexible alternative to fragmented public transit while fostering real connections on the road.

To book a ride, simply create an account with your university email (i.e. @cornell.edu, @binghamton.edu), find a ride that fits your schedule, and reserve your seat.

While we have deep roots connecting Cornell and the Ithaca community, Kamel Ride is expanding (e.g. Binghamton). You can regularly find rides heading to and from Syracuse, the NYC metro area, and other major hubs across the Northeast.

Trust is built into the platform. We require every user to verify their identity with an active university email address (.edu email). You can also read user reviews and use our secure in-app messaging to chat with your driver or passengers before booking.

Absolutely. If you’re heading home for the break or visiting friends at another university, you can list your available seats. It’s the perfect way to cover your gas and tolls while helping out a fellow student.

Booking is digital. Once you log in with your .edu credentials, you can find a ride that fits your schedule, reserve your seat, and pay securely using major credit cards or standard online payment services.
